TEXAWA Frac Sand - Product Specifications

Our TEXAWA Frac Sand is sourced from an open-pit mining operation in Mason County, Texas. Like our FREDONIA product, these sands come from a band in the Hickory Sandstone Formation that has a higher count of 20/40 and 30/50 monocrystalline grains than standard "Brown" sand.

As such, TEXAWA Frac Sand's performance characteristics are more typical of Ottawa, or "Northern White" type sands and substantially superior to standard "brown" sand. With roughly 40,000 tons monthly production, a large amount of which is pre-sold, the TEXAWA operation is on track to begin shipping product in January, 2010.
