Our Brady,TX Area Frac Sand is sourced from open-pit
mining operations near Brady and Voca, Texas. Brady, TX Area (aka 'Brown" or 'Hickory') Frac
Sand comes from the Hickory Sandstone Formation and has been mined for decades as a lower-cost alternative to more
costly Ottawa, or "Northern White" sands. These sands have a higher percentage of coarser screens (8/16,
12/20, and 16/30) than most other suitable frac sand deposits.
At
closure pressures less than 4500 psi, these sands produce results that are identical, and in some cases superior,
to more costly "Northern White" Ottawa-type frac sands.
